In this 2-day INCA TRAIL tour. We will visit Huiñay Huayna, one of the most beautiful routes of the Inca Trail, and then arrive at Machu Picchu through the Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku)., This tour is a combination of the train trip and walk where you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes throughout the first day.
Our adventure starts very early. After pick you up from the hotel in Cusco or sacred valley, we transfer you by a private car to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board the train to Machupícchu, we will get off the train at km 104, to begin our hiking adventure. Crossing the Urubamba river by a bridge we arrive to Chachabamba, it is an archaeological site also a park ranger station, here we will register our entrance to Machupícchu Sanctuary and go to receive instructions for the trail. In the way we enjoy archaeological and natural places until reach Wiñayhuayna, impressive archaeological site with terraces or agricultural platforms until this section will require at least 3 hours. Here we will enjoy a boxed lunch. We continue with the walk until we reach Intipunku (sun gate), an iconic place with great expectations, from here you can see Machupícchu, once into the citadel it is time to enjoy the moment, taking some photos. Finally we leave the place until the next day to explore the area carefully. We take the bus service in direction of Machupícchu town for our hotel service.
Early in the morning we regroup to return to the Machupícchu Sanctuary. This is a World Heritage Site (UNESCO) and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In the morning we will make a complete tour of the Inca city. Houses, squares, terraces, viewpoints, temples and spectacular views will be part of our experience. At the end of the tour we go down by bus to town. In the afternoon we return to Cusco, via train and car.
